Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “WINCHESTER MODEL 9410 SHOTGUN – .410 BORE 2 1/2? ONLY / -MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL-”. The top of the barrel is marked with a circled “WP” proof. The underside of the receiver to the left of the lever link is marked “SG41213”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a green fiber optic rod on a ramped base fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a wide “V”-notch leaf and elevator sight dovetailed to the rear of the barrel with a white triangle aiming reference. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped and filled at the chamber ring and to each side of the bolt for a scope mount (none included).
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with straight grip, banded forend, and solid black rubber Winchester buttpad. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering is sharp. There are a couple minor handling marks, there is a minor ding on the toe. The LOP measures 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The pad shows minor wear. The stocks are in Very Good to Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish is strong and complete throughout. There are a couple minor scratches, mostly on the receiver. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in Very Good to Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly and smoothly. The shotgun has a rebounding hammer, crossbolt safety, and a lever safety. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This Winchester Model 9410 represents a modern interpretation of the classic Model 1894 platform, adapted to the diminutive .410 bore and produced during the early 2000s at Winchester’s New Haven facility. Lever-action shotguns occupy a unique niche in American sporting arms, and the 9410 stands out for successfully scaling the familiar 1894 action to handle .410 shells while retaining the balance and handling qualities that made the original rifle famous. Produced in relatively limited numbers, these shotguns have become increasingly sought after for their novelty, craftsmanship, and connection to Winchester’s late New Haven era.
Chambered for 2 1/2 inch .410 bore shells and fitted with a 24 inch cylinder-bore barrel, this example is well suited to small game, casual clay shooting, and recreational use. The bright bore with no erosion is a notable highlight, reflecting minimal use, and the simple but effective sighting arrangement, featuring a fiber optic front and wide V-notch rear, supports quick target acquisition. The drilled and tapped receiver further enhances versatility, allowing the option of an optic without compromising the shotgun’s traditional lines.
Overall, this example presents in very good to excellent condition, retaining approximately 97 percent of its original blued finish with only minor handling marks visible. The checkered walnut stocks remain crisp and attractive, with only a small ding at the toe and light wear to the buttpad, consistent with careful ownership. Mechanically sound with smooth action function and modern safety features, this 9410 stands as a distinctive and desirable lever-action shotgun from Winchester Repeating Arms, combining classic styling with modern production quality.
