Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with the scope and sling as mentioned above.
Our Assessment: Introduced in the early 1980s, the 7mm-08 Remington quickly became one of the most balanced and widely respected short-action hunting cartridges in North America. By necking down the .308 Winchester to accept 7mm bullets, Remington created a cartridge with excellent sectional density, flat trajectory, and mild recoil, attributes that made it equally suitable for deer, antelope, and even elk when paired with proper bullet construction. By 2010, when this rifle was produced, the 7mm-08 had firmly established its reputation for accuracy and efficiency in lightweight mountain rifles and compact carbines.
The Remington Model 700 ADL carries a long legacy of dependable bolt-action design, and this example with its 20-inch barrel, synthetic stock, and matte blued metal, reflects the practical, no-nonsense philosophy behind the ADL line. The bore condition is excellent, the action cycles smoothly, and the rifle retains a high percentage of its original finish, indicating careful use over the years. The Leupold VX-L 3.5-10×50 adds substantial optical capability to the package, offering a wide field of view and excellent low-light performance, well-matched to the 7mm-08’s effective range and typical hunting environments.
Overall, this is a clean, modern hunting rifle configured for real-world field use rather than display, combining a proven action, an efficient and versatile cartridge, and quality American glass. It presents as a capable and confidence-inspiring tool for the sportsman who wants reliability, accuracy, and manageable recoil in a compact, weather-resistant platform.
