Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “- WINCHESTER MODEL 70 7mm-08 Rem only. – Winchester is a trademark of OLIN corp”. The top of the chamber is marked with a circled “WP” proof mark. The left side of the receiver is marked “WINCHESTER Made in USA”. The right side of the barrel is marked “Winchester 70 Super Grade, Made in USA, BACO Inc, Morgan UT Assembled in Portugal by Browning VIANA” The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 22″
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. There is a set of Leupold 1″ rings and bases installed.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece checkered walnut stock, with a capped semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb with cheekpiece, rubber buttpad, a capped forend, and sling studs front and rear. The LOP measures 13 3/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows very minor wear, small dings and handling marks. The stock’s finish is intact throughout, and the wood grain is vivid and attractive. The stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play. The checkering is well defined with sharp peaks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Fine to Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. There is a minor amount of fouling. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The bluing is deep and dark throughout. There is some minor scratching on the barrel. The jeweling on the bolt is vivid and bright. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Chambered in 7mm-08 Remington, this rifle is paired with a cartridge known for efficiency, accuracy, and balanced performance. Derived from the .308 Winchester case, the 7mm-08 offers mild recoil, excellent sectional density, and strong terminal performance on deer-sized game and beyond, making it a favorite among practical hunters. The 22-inch barrel complements the cartridge well, delivering efficient velocity while preserving a compact, well-balanced feel, and the installed Leupold rings and bases reflect its intended use as a scoped sporting rifle.
This example retains approximately 98 percent of its original blued finish, with deep, even coloration and only minor scratching visible on the barrel. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion present, showing only light fouling and rating 9 out of 10 in this writer’s opinion. The Super Grade walnut stock displays vivid grain and crisp checkering, with only small dings and handling marks, presenting in Fine to Excellent condition with a tight fit to the barreled action. The bolt jeweling remains bright, markings are clear, screw heads are sharp, and the action and safety function correctly.
