Our Assessment: This Winchester M1 Carbine was produced late in World War II, between December 1944 and June 1945, and is fitted with a correct Winchester barrel, giving it solid wartime credibility at its core. Winchester was one of the most respected prime contractors of the M1 Carbine program, and their rifles are well regarded for consistent machining and quality control during late-war production. This example represents the classic lightweight, fast-handling carbine that became a favorite with U.S. forces in the closing stages of the war.

The rifle is currently fitted with a commercial paratrooper-style folding stock, styled after the famous M1A1 used by airborne troops. It is important to note that this is not an original M1A1 paratrooper rifle, as genuine M1A1s were produced in limited numbers with very specific features and markings. That said, the paratrooper configuration makes this carbine an extremely fun and practical shooter, offering compact handling and undeniable visual appeal. As a range toy or casual shooter built around a real Winchester wartime receiver and barrel, it delivers classic M1 Carbine performance with added personality, without the collector-level price tag of a true M1A1.
