Our Assessment: This T-Series Browning Hi-Power comes from one of the most desirable production eras for the model, a period when FN’s craftsmanship and Browning’s American importation standards produced pistols with exceptional fit, finish, and mechanical refinement. The T-prefix guns of the 1960s reflect a transitional moment in Hi-Power history, bridging the earlier internal extractor configurations and the later MK-series updates while preserving the sleek, classic lines that made the design famous worldwide. The polished blue finish, tangent rear sight graduated to 500, and crisp machining marks all speak to FN’s high manufacturing quality during this period, offering a level of detail that many collectors consider the peak of commercial Hi-Power production. Chambered in 9mm Luger, the Hi-Power was originally designed under John Browning and completed by Dieudonné Saive as a high-capacity service pistol for modern military forces. Its 13-round staggered magazine established a new standard for sidearm capacity, and its mild recoil and natural pointability contributed to the model’s wide international adoption. This example’s very bright, sharp-rifled bore and excellent original finish indicate careful handling over its life, while the included extended magazines, original 13-round magazine, and accessories offer both period-correct appeal and practical value. The tangent rear sight adds another layer of collectibility, as these sights evoke the early military-contract Hi-Powers and provide a distinctive profile prized by enthusiasts.

Well-preserved T-Series Hi-Powers continue to attract strong collector interest due to their aesthetics, high build quality, and historical placement within FN’s production timeline. This pistol’s exceptional condition, lightly handled stocks, and overall integrity make it a standout representative of the classic Belgian-made era. With its desirable tangent sight configuration and polished blue finish, it captures the elegance and engineering that made the Hi-Power a global standard for decades. -R.E.
