The jeweling on the bolt remains vivid and bright. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good to Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with the scope, bipod, and cheekriser as mentioned above.

Our Assessment: Remington’s Model 700 BDL LSS line, combining a stainless barreled action with a rigid laminate stock, became one of the company’s most sought-after production rifles for hunters who wanted durability, accuracy, and rugged weather resistance. This left-hand .300 Remington Ultra Magnum variant represents the top end of that concept, pairing the strength of the 700 action with one of the most powerful non-belted magnum cartridges available. The rifle is outfitted with a 26-inch barrel (28 1/2 inches with its 5-port brake), a highly stable laminate stock, and a quality long-range optic; all features that align well with the .300 RUM’s extreme-range hunting and precision capabilities. Aside from minor wear marks and isolated freckling on the stainless steel, the rifle remains in very strong condition, with vivid bolt jeweling and excellent overall finish.

Introduced in 1999, the .300 Remington Ultra Magnum was engineered to deliver maximum velocity and flat trajectories without relying on a belted case. It quickly became known for its tremendous long-range potential, especially with heavy, high ballistic coefficient bullets. In a robust platform like the Model 700 LSS, the cartridge achieves outstanding accuracy and downrange energy. The bright, sharp bore and crisp mechanical feel underscore the rifle’s readiness for continued use. The Vortex Viper HST 6–24×50, paired with Talley rings and a bubble level, adds a capable precision optic suitable for long-distance shooting or big-game hunting in open terrain. With its left-hand configuration, premium components, and excellent chambering, this Model 700 BDL LSS stands as a powerful, well-equipped rifle ready for demanding field application or long-range work.
