Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “7mm Rem Mag”. The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number, a proof mark, and “TIKKA T3”.
Barrel Length: 26”. 27 1/2″ with radial muzzle brake. Fluted. This barrel is an aftermarket barrel, as it does not have the factory Tikka/Beretta markings.
Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a Nightforce SHV 5-20X56 scope, with the MOAR-20 MOA Illuminated reticle. The illuminated reticle does not function, more than likely from a dead battery. The glass in the scope is clear. The scope shows light wear, with a few scattered scratches and dings throughout the scope’s finish. Overall, the scope rates in Very Good condition. The scope is mounted on a one-piece picatinny rail, and sits in 30mm rings.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is the factory one-piece synthetic stock that has been painted or hydrodipped in a desert tan color. The stock features a textured semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb, rubber buttpad, sling studs front and rear, and a textured forend. There is a cartridge pouch/cheekpad wrapped around the buttstock. There is also a tan Magpul bipod attached to the forend. The LOP measures 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows light wear, with scattered scratches and dings throughout the stock’s finish. There is some tape stuck to the right side of the stock. The camo finish is largely intact. The stock fits tightly to the barreled action, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows freckling of surface corrosion throughout the barrel flutes and the receiver. Otherwise, the stainless finish is largely intact. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. The trigger has been adjusted too light. The trigger engages when the bolt is pushed closed. We recommend a qualified gunsmith inspect and/or repair/replace the trigger before any attempt is made to shoot or use this rifle. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. This rifle also features upgraded bottom metal, and an aftermarket stainless bolt shroud and aftermarket stainless oversized bolt handle.

Our Assessment: Tikka’s T3 platform has long been valued for its smooth bolt travel, excellent factory triggers, and consistent accuracy, making it a popular foundation for custom long-range and hunting rifles. This left-hand 7mm Remington Magnum build goes well beyond factory configuration, pairing a fluted 26-inch aftermarket barrel and radial brake with upgraded bottom metal, a stainless oversized bolt handle, and a stainless bolt shroud. The result is a rifle clearly configured for extended-range hunting or practical field precision. The stainless action and barrel show scattered freckling of surface corrosion, but the mechanical presentation remains strong, and the bore is exceptionally bright and sharp. The tan camo-finished synthetic stock shows normal handling wear but remains tight and solid, providing a stable base for the barreled action.
The 7mm Remington Magnum, introduced in 1962, is one of the most effective long-range hunting cartridges ever developed, known for its high velocity, excellent sectional density, and flat trajectories. In a 26-inch barrel, as found here, the cartridge utilizes near-optimal ballistic performance, particularly with modern high-BC bullets. The rifle is topped with a Nightforce SHV 5–20×56 scope, a highly respected optic that offers excellent clarity and a MOAR-20 reticle tailored for precision shooting. The only significant concern is the trigger, which is adjusted too lightly and releases upon bolt closure. A condition requiring immediate correction by a qualified gunsmith before the rifle is used. Once properly addressed, this custom Tikka T3 stands as a highly capable long-range hunting system, pairing strong components, excellent optics, and the proven smoothness of the T3 action.
