Sights / Optics: There is a brass bead at the front of the solid rib. The top of the rib is checkered for glare reduction.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered wood with splinter forend, pistol grip, straight comb and checkered black plastic buttplate with Artemis/Diana in the center. The stocks have a few light nicks and scratches. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14 7/8″ and 14″ from the fronts of the triggers to the back of the buttplate. The plate has minor wear with some stubborn residue in its well defined checkering. Drop at comb is approximately 1 5/8, drop at heel 2 1/8″. The cast is neutral. Overall, the stocks are in about Fine condition.

Type of Finish: Blued & Coin

Finish Originality: Original, numbers match.

Bore Condition: The bores are mostly bright. There is a little minor erosion in the forcing cones. Overall, the bores rate about 9/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are a few scattered light nicks, scuffs and small scratches. There is a spot of oxidation on the left fence. There is some oxidation on the trigger guard and triggers. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. This shotgun rates in Very Good-Plus overall condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrels lock up with no play to the receiver. The safety engages automatically when the action is opened. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This is a quality field gun produced in Italy by Fausti Stefani and imported by Exam. With 28″ barrels choked Full and Modified, the gun exhibits attractive engraving on the coin-finished receiver, retaining great bores and strong mechanics.
