Our Assessment: This commemorative Colt presents the classic 1911A1 silhouette dressed in display-grade trim, and the distinctive ETO commemorative engravings celebrating U.S. operations across the European front in World War II. The slide and frame carry crisp, well-executed markings unique to this limited 1970 production run, and the pistol retains the familiar A1 ergonomics — arched mainspring housing, short trigger, grip safety, thumb safety, and a clean 5″ sight radius that preserves the handling lines of the wartime service pistol.
