Our Assessment:   In the late 1970s, the Browning 2000 gas-operated semi-auto shotgun was not selling well.  FN had purchased a large share of Beretta in 1972, and sought collaboration between its Beretta and Browning divisions.  The result was the Browning B-80, made with Italian parts and at least partly with a Beretta design.  It has parts in common with the successful Beretta 302 and Browning Styling.  It was assembled at Browning’s Portugal factory from 1981-1988.

This particular B-80 was made in 1986, the second year it was offered with accu-choke threaded barrels.  It comes with the lighter alloy receiver, holds three in the magazine, and reportedly handles recoil well.  It is in excellent condition and would, with a few more Accu-chokes (not included) be ready to tackle any shotgunning task with European style.  Please see our photos.  -C.B.
