Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UT – MADE IN JAPAN/MIROKU”, with an “NP” proof mark at the chamber. The right side of the chamber is marked “STAINLESS STEEL BLR LT WT CALIBER .22-250 REM ONLY”. The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number. The bottom of the trigger guard is marked with the Browning Buck Mark.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass beaded blade, dovetailed to a ramp, screwed to the barrel. The rear sight is an adjustable square-notch sight, screwed to the barrel. The receiver is mounted with a Redfield 6-24×50 scope with a fine crosshair reticle. The glass in the scope is clear. The scope shows light wear, with a few scattered scuffs and dings in the scope’s finish. Overall, the scope rates in Very Good condition. The scope is mounted on a one-piece picatinny rail.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are a two-piece Grade 1, gloss finished, checkered walnut with a semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb, black rubber buttpad, a checkered forend with a schnabel tip, and sling studs front and rear. The LOP measures 13 3/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stocks show no notable wear. The checkering is well defined. The gloss finish on the stocks is strong throughout. There are no chips or cracks, and the stocks fit the frame tightly, with no play. Overall, the stocks rate in Excellent condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: 2x 4rd factory magazines, in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is some dust in the bore from storage. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99%+ of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no notable wear. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the half-cock safety. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Browning/Miroku BLR Lightweight Stainless in .22-250 Remington is a terrific modern lever-action solution for hunters who want quick handling and magnum-class ballistics in a compact, magazine-fed package. Built in Japan to Browning’s specifications, the BLR combines a fast, straight-pull lever feel with the practical advantages of detachable box magazines — here supplied with two factory 4-rounders — and a 20? stainless barrel that keeps the whole package light and maneuverable for mountain, brush, or spot-and-stalk work.
Chambered in .22-250 Remington, this rifle delivers the flat trajectory and high velocity that varmint and medium-game hunters prize, and the fitted Redfield 6–24×50 on a one-piece Picatinny rail provides a capable, long-range optic well matched to the cartridge. Cosmetically and mechanically the rifle checks out very well: the bore is bright with sharp rifling, the metal and matte-nickel/stainless finishes are essentially untouched, and the Grade-1 gloss walnut furniture is in Excellent condition with crisp checkering and a tight fit.
