Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked, “* 410 GA. FOR 3 IN. PLASTIC SHELLS ONLY / IMP. CYL.”. The right side of the barrel is marked with a series of proofs, Remington’s address, and patent numbers. The left side of the receiver is marked with “REMINGTON- MODEL 1100 L317739H”. The right and left sides of the receiver, as well as the bolt are factory engraved with scroll engraving.

Choke: Improved Cylinder, Fixed.
Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a silver bead at the muzzle. The top of the receiver is serrated for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with a capped traditional pistol grip, fluted straight comb, vented rubber buttpad, and a grooved checkered forend. The LOP measures 12 7/8″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows light to moderate wear, with scratches, and dings throughout both stocks. There is one small chip on the right side of the forend, at the back. There are no major structurally compromising chips or cracks. The stocks fit the frame tightly, with no play. The checkering is well defined. Overall ,the stocks rate in Very Good condition.

Finish Originality: Refinished
Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal refinish. The balance of the finish shows no notable wear. The evidence of a refinish can be seen in the stamped markings- the edges of some of the stamped markings are fading. The markings are all still legible. The bluing is deep and dark throughout. The factory engraving is still sharp and vivid. The pins are unmarred. Overall, this shotgun rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the cross-bolt safety. We have not fired this shotgun, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

This example presents very well — the refinish is uniform and deep, the factory engraving remains sharp, and the bore checks bright at an excellent 10/10. The wood furniture shows only light to moderate wear with sound checkering and no major structural issues, and the action and safety function as described.
