Markings:
Both revolvers are marked identically. The left side of the frame is marked “FREEDOM ARMS PREMIER GRADE.” The barrels are marked “FREEDOM ARMS MODEL 97 .357 MAG / FREEDOM, WYOMING U.S.A.” The top straps are marked “PATENTED.” Each barrel underside is signed “ENGR. D. JONES.” Both guns display full-coverage premium scroll engraving over the barrels, frames, cylinders, and grip frames. The front sight blades are also engraved.

Sights / Optics:
The front sights are serrated blades in engraved bases. The rear sights are square-notch leaves dovetailed into the top straps, adjustable for windage and elevation.

Stock Configuration & Condition:
Both revolvers are fitted with smooth, high-gloss select hardwood grips with rich grain. The right panels bear the Freedom Arms medallion. They show only the faintest handling marks and are free of cracks or chips. Both sets of grips rate in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition:
The bores of both revolvers are bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion. In this writer’s opinion, the bores rate 10/10.

Overall Condition:
These revolvers each retain about 99% of their original finishes. The only marks are light operational traces and faint handling marks. The engraving remains crisp and sharp across all surfaces. The screw heads are sharp and the markings are clear. Overall, both revolvers rate in Excellent condition.

Mechanics:
The actions function correctly. The triggers are crisp, the hammers lock securely, and the cylinders time properly. The revolvers lock up with very little play on each chamber. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Accessories:
Both revolvers include a spare 38 caliber cylinder housed in a soft suede pouch.
