Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “12 GA 2 3/4″ OR 3”, and the “XM” date code. The right side of the barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, NY”. The left side of the receiver is marked “V3 TAC-13”. The right side of the receiver is marked with a QR code, the serial number, and “REMINGTON / REMINGTON V3 / 12GA ILION, NY”.

Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a bead at the front of the vent rib. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a birdshead pistol grip, with a textured rubber sleeve for added grip control, and a QD sling mount. The forend is a textured synthetic, that is grooved. The bottom of the forend has an integral nylon strap for added grip control. At the front of the barrel, there is a barrel band with a picatinny rail at the 3 o’clock position, for the mounting of accessories. On that same barrel band, at the 9 o’clock position, there is a sling stud.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, with no erosion. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no notable wear. The markings are clear and legible. The pins are unmarred. Overall, this shotgun rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We have not fired this shotgun, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes with its original serial number matching box, with owner’s manual/paperwork, and cable lock.
Our Assessment: The Remington V3 Tac-13 is a compact, modern tactical shotgun built to deliver reliable, low-recoil performance in a short-barrel package — ideal for home defense, and close-quarters where maneuverability is paramount. This 2018 example wears the Tac-13’s purposeful features honestly: a 13″ vent-rib barrel with fixed cylinder choke, bead front sight, optics-ready receiver, a textured birdshead grip with rubber sleeve and QD mount, forend rail for accessories, and a 5-round tubular magazine — a practical, ready-to-use configuration for defensive-minded shooters.
Condition and value drivers here are strong. The bore is bright (rated 10/10), metal surfaces retain roughly 99% of the original finish, and all markings and pins are clear and unmarred. The action and safety functioned correctly during our inspection, and the shotgun comes complete with its serial-matching box, manual/paperwork and cable lock — a full, collector-friendly accessory set that also benefits an end user who wants to move the gun into service right away.
