Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “–WINCHESTER– / LICENSEE / U.S. REPEATING ARMS CO., NEW HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. / MADE IN JAPAN” and “CAL. .45 COLT”. The top of the barrel and the top of the receiver are marked with a circled “WP” proof mark. The bottom of the receiver is marked with the serial number “NT0551”. The left side of the receiver is factory engraved with a whitetail deer scene and floral engraving, and the right side of the receiver is factory engraved with a pronghorn scene and floral engraving.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass beaded blade, dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a buckhorn U-notch on a riser, dovetailed to the barrel.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are a two piece smooth walnut, with a straight grip, straight comb, capped forend, and a metal crescent buttplate. The LOP measures 12 7/8″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stocks show light to wear, with scattered scratches, dings, and dents throughout. The stocks fit the frame tightly, with no play. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stocks rate in Very Good condition. There is a leather wrap around the buttstock. The wood underneath is in the same condition as the wood that is visible.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minor wear, with only minor superficial imperfections on the metal surfaces. The markings and the engravings are all clear and legible. The screw heads range from tooled to sharp, but all retain strong and serviceable slots. Overall, this rifle is in Very Good condition. The bottom of the lever has a leather wrap around it.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the tang mounted safety. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Winchester Miroku Model 1892 is a finely finished reproduction lever-action that pairs classic lines with tasteful factory engraving and a full-length 24-inch barrel. The metal retains approximately 98% of its original blued finish and shows only minor superficial imperfections across the surfaces. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and rates 10/10 in this writer’s opinion. The two-piece walnut stocks fit the action tightly and present in Very Good condition with light scattered scratches, dings, and dents consistent with careful use. The factory engraving on both sides of the receiver is crisp and well executed, and all markings and proofs are clear and legible. The action cycles correctly and the tang-mounted safety functions as intended. The lever and the buttstock carry leather wraps.
Chambered in .45 Colt, this cartridge was introduced in 1872 for the Colt Single Action Army and became a cornerstone frontier and handgun hunting round; it transitioned from black powder to modern smokeless loadings and remains popular today for cowboy action, recreational shooting, and medium-game hunting.
Collectors will appreciate the strong finish retention, sharp factory engraving, and overall presentation, while shooters will value the excellent bore, solid mechanics, and comfortable handling.
