Our Assessment: An AR-pattern build from Seekins Precision configured to fire the 6.8 SPC cartridge. The 6.8 SPC emerged in the early–mid 2000s as an AR-compatible intermediate cartridge developed to deliver greater bullet mass and terminal performance than .223/5.56, spurring a wave of aftermarket barrels, bolts, and matched uppers for the AR platform. Seekins Precision’s SP-series and similar precision-oriented AR offerings reflect the 2010s trend toward factory-ready precision builds that pair improved cartridges with optics-ready platforms.
