Our Assessment: This Browning 1895 High Grade One of One Thousand is a premium, limited-edition modern lever gun executed with exceptional attention to detail. Built in 1985 by Miroku for Browning, it pairs a polished 24? blue barrel with a stainless frame, gold-plated accents, and deeply engraved figural scenes that mark it as a true showpiece. Cosmetics are essentially flawless — roughly 99% finish retention, crisp checkering, and a bright bore rated 10/10 — and the fine fit and finish throughout underscore its High Grade pedigree and collector-focused intent.
Functionally the lever action cycles positively, lockup is secure, and controls exhibit the crisp, refined feel expected of a top-tier Browning build. As a one-of-one-thousand presentation in superb condition, this rifle will appeal first to collectors seeking a standout centerpiece, and second to shooters who value premium fit-and-finish in a traditional lever-action platform.
