Our Assessment:
This Smith & Wesson Model 25-14 is a compact N-frame revolver chambered in .45 ACP, finished in bright nickel, and fitted with attractive grips. The 3? barrel gives the revolver a balanced and practical footprint while retaining the heft and strength of the large N-frame. Its nickel finish and rosewood stocks set it apart visually, making it as appealing for display as it is for shooting.
Mechanically, this example presents well. The action appears sound, lockup is solid, and the bore is excellent, rating 9.8/10 with only light, very light fouling present. This is a revolver that has been fired minimally and shows careful handling throughout its life.
For collectors, the Model 25-14 holds significance as part of Smith & Wesson’s effort to revisit their classic revolvers in modern form. The combination of short barrel, nickel finish, and .45 ACP chambering makes this piece a desirable addition to any S&W collection. Whether for range use with moon clips or as a striking display revolver, it will make a fine addition to any collection. So bid high and bid firm.
