Our Assessment:
Smith & Wesson’s Model 657 brought the .41 Magnum cartridge into stainless steel, offering both power and weather resistance for hunters and outdoorsmen. Produced in 1998, this revolver pairs a 6″ barrel with adjustable sights, making it capable of excellent accuracy in the field or at the range.

The .41 Magnum itself was developed in the 1960s to fill the gap between .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum, and while it never saw the widespread adoption of its siblings, it remains a favorite of enthusiasts for its flatter trajectory and impressive energy. Combined with stainless construction and a durable grip set, this revolver is both practical and collectible.

With its excellent condition, bright bore, and inclusion of the original box, manual, and paperwork, this Model 657 will appeal equally to shooters seeking a magnum revolver for the field and collectors looking for a well-documented example. So bid high and bid firm. I encourage you to take a look at the condition of the revolver in our high-quality photos. Good luck with your bid. -K.F.
