Our Assessment: Our Assessment: Marketed as “The Perfect Repeater,” this pump-action shotgun is an absolute classic and one of the most popular shotguns of all time. The Model 12 has a reputation for being one of the smoothest and most reliable pump-action shotguns ever made. It was first introduced in 1912 and remained in production until 1964.  Over two million were produced.

This Model 20 feels remarkably tight for a 113 year old gun.  It has undergone a well-done refinish and has not seen much use since.  A collector of Model 12s has the opportunity to add a very fine 20 gauge from the very first year of Model 12 production to his collection.  A quail or grouse hunter had the opportunity to add a lightweight, quick-pointing and very reliable pump to his.  Both should look carefully at these photos.  -C.B.
