Our Assessment: At its core, the Wingmaster boasts unparalleled reliability with its solid steel receiver and twin action bars, making it less susceptible to wear and tear compared to its aluminum-framed counterparts. The Wingmaster variant offers a higher grade of wood and a polished blue finish, distinguishing it from the more utilitarian Express models.
The standard in pumps, at least since the Model 12 was discontinued, is the Remington 870 Wingmaster. It is powerful, reliable, and will function with any ammo under nearly any conditions. This is part of the reason it has been the choice of so many military and police organizations in the 75 years of continuous production.
This particular Wingmaster is chambered in 410. It would be an excellent choice as a reliable utility shotgun or as a light recoil way to teach a new shooter. Please see our photos.
