Action Type: Single-Action Semi-Auto Pistol fed by  Removable Magazine

Barrel Length: 5″

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade integral to the barrel shroud assembly. The rear sight is a Hogue square-notch adjustable for windage and elevation in a base pinned to the upper receiver. There is an optic mount rail screw-secured to the top of the upper receiver.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece contoured wood panels with inlaid darker wood diamonds. The left panel has a thumb-shelf and the right panel a palm-swell for a right-handed shooter and there are textured areas along the front of each panel. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Fine-Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: Blue, Nickel & Black Alloy

Finish Originality: Original to customization by Sitek Arms.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is some stubborn copper fouling on the edges of the grooves. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9+/10.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are a few minor scuffs and light handling marks. The action shows light operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Fine-Excellent condition as customized.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly, however the included magazine is incredibly tight in the magazine well. We tested a few other magazines which ranged from drop-free to just a little tight at the top of the magazine well. It is recommended that the magazine be replaced. We did not fire this handgun. As with all firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a single 7-round Colt magazine.

Our Assessment: Customized is an understatement when it comes to describing this pistol. While it uses a Foster Industries 1911 frame, everything above the frame is radically different. The stationary upper has a fixed barrel with a recoil spring mounted around the barrel. Two panels on the side have the grasping knobs and hold the firing pin assembly which is attached to the bolt and the tilt-up locking block which locks into a recess inside the upper. The result offers a few advantages over the standard 1911 design. The barrel is fixed as are the sights and the optic mounting rail. This allows for greater precision as well as being quite a bit softer on optics during recoil. The tilting locking block keeps the motion of the action in-line with the sight radius, as oppsed to the tilting-barrel of the 1911. The pistol still retains the excellent single-action trigger of the 1911. This is a radical design from W.J. Sitek of Sitek Arms, representing a wild departure from the typical custom 1911. For collectors, its intriguing mechanical design will be hard to resist, but it should also prove to be an excellent target pistol. Please see our photos and good luck!
