Sights / Optics: The front sight is a dovetailed blade with a very nice brass inlay. The rear sight is a dovetailed and serrated square-notch with adjustable windage and elevation.
Grip/Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece wood with large diamond pattern checkering. There are light handling marks present with a few very small dings. There are no chips or cracks present. The grips fit the frame with no movement. The grips rate in about Fine condition.
Type of Finish: Blued frame and damascus slide
Finish Originality: Original slide, refinished frame
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp overall showing minimal wear. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9.5 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This firearm retains about 99% of its original metal finish. The balance of finish shows very light wear from operation, handling, and storage. The screw heads are lightly tooled with turnable slots. The markings are clear and complete. There is nice laser etching done by Sitek on the barrel bushing, grip screws, recoil spring plug, and the top of the slide as well. Overall, this firearm rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action and safety function correctly. We did not fire this firearm. We have cleaned this firearm and performed a mechanic’s check but expect many will want to clean the firearm again depending on their standards.

Our Assessment: This is a very unique 1911 build combining vintage parts with modern technology. Combining a WWI era frame with a newer Caspian damascus slide along with some laser etching by Sitek leads to a very interesting gun. This firearm locks up very tight and has a very light trigger. In addition, the sights are very nice and would be perfect for target or carry use. This is a deceptively nice firearm that wouldn’t catch your eye from afar, but will perform like a dream. The more you look at the small details in the laser etching or at the damascus slide, you can really appreciate how incredibly fantastic the build is.
