Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded post fixed to the gas block. The rear sight is a two position flip up peep sight fixed to the dust cover. There is a pair of what once were flip up night sights that have not been fitted with tritium.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This rifle has a three piece furniture set with a steel right-side folding tubular stock, polymer pistol grip, and serrated polymer handguard. The folding stock and handguard have light wear with some scratches and pressure dents throughout. There are no chips or cracks. Overall the stock set rates in Very Good condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: 5x 35 round magazines all in excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore but there is some light fouling. In this writers opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its metal finish. There is light handling wear and thinning throughout. The markings are blurry and rough. The screw heads and pins are undamaged. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Galil SAR (Short Assault Rifle) is a compact variant of the famed Israeli Galil, designed to provide a rugged, reliable, and accurate platform for infantry, paratroopers, and special units requiring a shorter, handier rifle without sacrificing the durability of the full-length design. Based on the proven AK-pattern long-stroke gas piston system but incorporating enhancements from the Finnish Valmet RK 62 and Israeli engineering, the SAR maintains the legendary reliability of its parent action while offering improved ergonomics, robust iron sights, and a folding stock for portability. This Infinity Firearms-marked example is a semi-automatic civilian model chambered in .223 Remington, built to closely mirror the military configuration, complete with its tubular steel right-side folding stock, hooded front post, and two-position rear aperture. This rifle remains in very good condition, retaining about 90% of its original gray-painted finish with only light handling wear and minor thinning. The polymer handguard, pistol grip, and steel folding stock show light scratches and pressure dents but remain free of cracks or structural issues. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, showing no erosion and only light fouling, rating 9/10 in this writer’s opinion. The markings are somewhat blurry and rough, but the rifle’s mechanical function is strong, with the action cycling correctly. It comes equipped with five 35-round magazines in excellent condition and a sling, making it well-prepared for range use.
For enthusiasts of military-style rifles, the Galil SAR offers a unique blend of AK-like ruggedness and Israeli refinements, resulting in one of the most battle-proven rifles of the late 20th century.
