Action Type: Bolt Action Rifle with Hinged Floorplate Internal Magazine. 

Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “.223 REM”, along with Remington’s 2-line warning, BL date code, and a couple of proofs. The right side of the barrel is marked with a series of proofs. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “C6631347 / REMINGTON / MODEL 700”. 

Barrel Length: 24” Heavy Contour Bull Barrel

Sights / Optics: No provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a one-piece Leupold base, and 1” scope rings. 

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The stock is one-piece checkered Deluxe Walnut with ebony tipped forend, capped pistol grip, fluted monte carlo comb with cheek piece, sling studs front and rear, and a checkered black plastic buttplate. The LOP measures approximately 13 3/8″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock shows light signs of wear, with only minor handling marks and dings throughout. The finish is strong, and the checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.  

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows only the most minor of operational wear. The bluing is deep and dark throughout, and the jeweling on the bolt is strong and vivid. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are only lightly tooled, and retain strong and serviceable slots. Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition. 

Mechanics:  The action functions correctly, as does the safety. The trigger has a very light, crisp, and clean break, with minimal take-up or over-travel. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.  

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a hard case, as well as the scope rings as mentioned above.

The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion, rating a perfect 10/10, and the jeweled bolt remains vivid. The trigger is light, crisp, and clean, providing excellent control for precision shooting.
