Sights / Optics: The front sight is a square blade pinned to a raised section of rib. The rear sight is an adjustable square notch pinned to the top strap. The top of the barrel has a weaver scope mount with a Ultra Dot red dot sight fitted atop it. The red dot is in Very Good condition and functions correctly.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a one-piece Taurus textured rubber overmold with a yellow stripe. There are small scuffs and rub marks throughout. There are no rips or chunks missing. The grips rate in about Good to Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore but there is some light lead fouling. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 98% of its finish. The cylinder has a crisp turn line. There is light operational wear with burn marks on the cylinder face. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in about Very Good + condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. The lockup is tight with almost no side to side play. The double action trigger is smooth and the single action is crisp.

Our Assessment: The Taurus Raging Hornet is one of the more exotic offerings to ever come from Taurus’s “Raging” series of large-frame revolvers—designed for maximum power and precision shooting in niche calibers. Chambered in .22 Hornet, this revolver blends high-velocity, small-bore rifle ballistics with the controllability and portability of a revolver platform. Originally marketed as a varmint and predator gun, the Raging Hornet offered hunters and long-range plinkers a unique alternative to traditional rimfire or centerfire pistols. With its 10” bull barrel, this revolver delivers exceptional accuracy and decent ballistic performance from the .22 Hornet cartridge. This example is in Very Good Plus condition, showing only minor signs of use. It retains about 98% of its matte stainless finish, with a sharp turn line, faint operational marks, and some burnishing at the cylinder face. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and only light fouling, rating a solid 9.5/10. It is fitted with a functional Ultra Dot red dot sight atop a Weaver-style barrel rib mount, making it range- or field-ready right out of the box. The rubber grip with the signature yellow insert offers excellent control, and though it shows some handling wear, it remains structurally intact and comfortable in the hand.
