Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “TAYLOR & CO WINCHESTER VA – A. UBERTI ITALY”. The bottom of the receiver behind the lifter is marked with two proofs including a date code. The lower tang is marked with the serial number “H25638”, a QR code, and “A. UBERTI – ITALY”. The upper tang is marked “MODEL 1873”. The left shoulder of the barrel is marked “45 COLT”.
Barrel Length: 18” Half Octagon, Half Round
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade dovetailed and screw set to the barrel. The rear sight is a semi-buckhorn square notch elevator sight that is dovetailed to the barrel.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are smooth wood with a capped forend, straight grip, straight comb, and a crescent steel buttplate. The wood shows no notable imperfections nor damage. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 1/8” from the front of the trigger to the end of the blued buttplate. The plate shows no notable wear. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are no major imperfections to speak of. The blueing is strong and complete throughout and the case color is vibrant. There is no operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Like New condition as unfired outside of factory testing.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lever safety and lever lock are present. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be required to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes in a box with a serial matching label, owner’s manual, factory handouts, and plastic gun sleeve.
