Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. ILION, NEW YORK, U.S.A. / MODEL 336C MICRO-GROOVE BARREL CAL. 30/30 WIN.”, and has one proof mark and “DN” date code. The left side of the receiver is marked with a QR code, and the serial number “MR61071I”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded brass beaded blade with a serrated rear face that is screwedto the barrel. The rear sight is a semi-buckhorn U-notch leaf that has an elevator piece dovetailed to the barrel. The top of the receiver has four drilled, tapped and filled holes for mounting optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered maple with a banded forearm, checkered grip, straight comb, semi-pistol grip with black grip cap, and a black rubber Marlin buttpad. The Marlin bullseye is present in the belly. There are no significant imperfections. There are no chips or cracks. The grip checkering is sharp. The LOP measures 13 5/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stocks rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. Some fouling in the barrel.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is light operational wear on the lever and bolt. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp, and pins are unmarred. Overall this rifle rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Marlin 336 is a quintessential American lever gun, and this limited-production 336C variant from 2019 elevates the platform with high-grade figured maple furniture and traditional blued steel. Chambered in the classic .30-30 Winchester and featuring Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling, this rifle offers fast handling, a smooth lever stroke, and reliable accuracy in a package that’s as attractive as it is capable.
This rifle is topped with a brass-bead hooded front sight and semi-buckhorn rear, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. The 20” barrel strikes a good balance for hunting or ranch duty, while the full-length mag tube preserves classic lines. The factory stock is handsomely checkered blonde maple with a semi-pistol grip, black grip cap, and black rubber Marlin recoil pad. This rifle retains about 99% of its original metal finish with only minor signs of use.
