Our Assessment: This Ducks Unlimited edition of the Browning Auto-5 Sweet Sixteen was manufactured by Miroku in 1988 and stands as both a tribute to classic design and a celebration of conservation heritage. Chambered in 16 gauge for 2 ¾” shells, it features a 26″ vent-rib barrel with interchangeable Invector choke tubes—currently equipped with a Full tube and accompanied by Modified and Improved Cylinder options. The recoil-operated long-recoil action is built on the time-tested Auto-5 platform. The silvered receiver is ornately engraved with wildlife scenes: a marsh flight of ducks on the left, geese in flight on the right, and Ducks Unlimited emblems throughout, including the trigger guard. The checkered walnut stocks exhibit fine craftsmanship with sharp checkering and finger-grooved forend, all in Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The bore is bright and clean with only minor fouling marks, and the metal retains 99% of its original finish, with only minor handling wear noted. The shotgun includes a Ducks Unlimited locking hard case with keys, making it not just a finely crafted scattergun, but a collector-grade commemorative with utility. This one bridges heritage, elegance, and functionality—an ideal addition for the upland hunter or Browning collector. Please check out our photos, and thank you for your bid! Good luck! – J.D.
