Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number and “Remington MODEL 700.” The barrel is marked REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION. N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. / 223 REM.”, patent numbers, the date code “DM”, and proof marks. The scope is marked “LEUPOLD VARI-X-III 6.5X20”.

Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. A Leupold Vari-X-III 6.5X20mm scope is mounted atop the receiver.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The wood stock has a textured semi pistol grip with raised cheek piece and comb (Monte Carlo). It also has a synthetic recoil pad. The LOP measures 13.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the butt pad. There is minimal wear on the stock of any kind. The checkering is still sharp and defined. The synthetic recoil pad shows minimal wear on the edges. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish on the receiver. The blued steel shows minimal markings and few blemishes. There is light operational wear from normal use on this firearm. The screw heads are sharp and unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
