Action Type: Semi-Automatic, gas piston driven, two position gas block, reciprocating charging handle, ambi magazine release, non folding fully adjustable stock rifle, with fin grip fed by SCAR pattern magazines. The rifle also includes an aluminum lower that accepts AR-10 pattern magazines. The rifle has an upgraded Geiselle trigger.
Markings: Left side of the receiver is marked “FN COLUMBIA, SC USA SCAR 20S MULTI-CALIBER PR16302”. The fin grip is marked “STRIKE INDUSTRIES”. The barrel is marked “MP FNH 6.5 CREEDMOOR 1/8″. The muzzle device is marked “PROCOMP-762-SUREFIRE”.
Barrel Length: 20”, 22.25” with the Surefire brake.
Sights / Optics: The upper has a 22.5” picatinny rail for the mounting of optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set includes the Strike Industries fin grip, a 13” monolithic forend with picatinny rails mounted in a QUAD rail pattern, and a non folding fully adjustable stock with a cheek riser, lower picatinny rail and rubber butt pad. The length of pull at full extension is 15”. The furniture shows only very minor handling with no notable marks or marrs. Overall the furniture is in about Excellent condition.
The Handl Defense aluminum lower also has a Strike industries fin grip. The receiver shows some marks and marrs on the friction areas from being assembled and disassembled mainly on the edges and around the magazine release. This lower is in Very Good+ condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion. The feed ramps are smooth and shiny. The front of the bolt lugs and where the lugs contact the breach face of the barrel show some light rust and caked old oil. Most of the fouling came off the bolt lugs with a cloth. I believe this rust/oil should be able to be removed with a proper cleaning. If this rifle was fired outside of factory testing it was very little. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.75/10.
Overall Condition: The rifle retains 99% of its metal finish. There is a small but notable mark on the right side of the upper just above the ejection port. The case deflector shows some light use. The markings are clear and the pins are un marred. Overall the rifle is in Very Good-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. This rifle has a reciprocating charging handle. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle includes 4 x ten round Scar magazines, 3 Magpul 10 round AR-10 magazines, and one Lancer 10 round AR10 magazine, 8 magazines total all in Excellent condition. The rifle also includes the serialized box, Handl lower, and cable lock with keys.
Our Assessment: The FN SCAR 20S in 6.5 Creedmoor is a precision-oriented semi-automatic rifle built for long-range accuracy and consistency, utilizing a monolithic aluminum upper and a match-grade 20″ barrel. This model retains the SCAR family’s robust gas-piston operation and features a reciprocating charging handle, offering direct bolt manipulation but requiring careful handling under load or around obstructions. Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, the rifle delivers excellent ballistic performance and flatter trajectories, ideal for extended-range shooting.
This configuration includes a SureFire ProComp muzzle brake, which effectively mitigates recoil and muzzle rise, keeping follow-up shots fast and smooth. The addition of a Strike Industries fin grip and a non-folding but fully adjustable stock keeps the platform featureless and compliant with restrictive state laws. A significant upgrade is the HANDL Defense billet aluminum lower, allowing the use of standard AR-10 pattern magazines, expanding mag compatibility and durability over the original polymer SCAR lower, which only accepts FN’s proprietary mags.
