Our Assessment: Kimber originally produced the Model 82 rimfire and then started with the 84 centerfire after the success of the rimfires. Using the new Model 84 actions, Kimber specialized in making heavier-weight, small-caliber center-fires for benchrest shooting and varmint hunting. Perhaps the ultimate prairie dog gun, they were tack-driving accurate with outstanding barrels, stocks and triggers, and heavy enough to negate recoil. After the Model 84 was a success, the later large caliber Model 89 was born and they were soon overwhelmed with production demand and went through financial turmoil. They later reformed in New York and resumed production and still craft some of the finest bolt actions on the market. This is a nice Model 84 Classic Select Grade chambered in .257 Roberts, the model was introduced 2006 and produced to 2020. This one has little sign of ever being used, in Excellent condition. It should be an eye-catching hunting rifle for years to come or a nice addition to a collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
