Our Assessment: The Smith & Wesson Model 57 was introduced in 1964 in response to growing interest in the .41 Magnum cartridge, which was intended to bridge the gap between the .357 and .44 Magnum. The 57-1 variant brought minor internal design changes in line with the 1980s engineering updates, such as the radius stud package and new yoke retention system.
This particular example is a desirable 4” barrel configuration, well-suited for field carry, and features S&W’s high-polish blue finish with classic checkered target stocks. The revolver is in excellent mechanical condition with a sharp bore and minimal wear—making it a fine shooter or addition to a Magnum revolver collection.
Whether you’re a revolver enthusiast, hunter, or a collector of classic Smith & Wessons, this Model 57-1 offers performance and appeal. Please see our high quality photos and good luck on your bid -M.C.
