Our Assessment: This is a highly desirable post-war transitional Smith & Wesson .38 Hand Ejector, made in the first year of K-frame production following WWII. With the McGivern-style gold bead front sight and rare humpback hammer, this revolver is tailored for target accuracy and fast sight acquisition. These factory features make it especially collectible.
The revolver is extremely well preserved with 95 %+ of its original finish, excellent grips, and a strong bore. Its serial number, K4566, places it among the earliest K-frame .38 Specials made after the war. For collectors of early postwar S&Ws, competition revolvers, or mechanically refined classics, this piece represents one of the best configurations of the era. So bid high and bid firm. I highly recommend that you review the item’s condition using our high-quality photos. Good luck with your bid. -K.F.
