Our Assessment: The Smith & Wesson Model 57 is a premium revolver designed for those who wanted something with more punch than a .357 Magnum but with the same smooth handling and refined build quality. Introduced in 1964, the Model 57 was built on S&W’s robust N-frame and chambered in the potent .41 Remington Magnum—a cartridge developed for law enforcement and hunters seeking a balance between the .357 and .44 Magnum. With its 6″ pinned barrel, target sights, and case-colored hammer and trigger, this revolver is a fine representation of S&W craftsmanship from a golden era.

This example, manufactured between 1980 and 1983, is in Excellent condition, retaining about 98% of its deep blued finish with only a faint cylinder turn line and a few minor handling marks. The bore is sharp and bright, and the action is smooth in double action with a crisp break in single action. The original checkered wood target grips with speedloader cut are in fantastic shape, and the revolver comes with its factory blue S&W box and moisture paper—making it a desirable package for collectors and shooters alike. Whether you’re a fan of big-bore revolvers, a S&W collector, or a hunter looking for a capable sidearm, this Model 57 checks all the right boxes for performance, style, and collectibility.  Please see our photos and good luck on your bid! – L.S.
