Action Type: Semi-Automatic rifle fed by detachable magazines. 

Markings: Rear top of the receiver is marked “US RIFLE M1A SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 103821”. The front sight is marked “KENSIGHT” and “Trijicon H3 14”. The top of the bolt carrier group is marked “7790186 TRW ZG”. The stock is marked “ARCHANGEL”. The scope mount is marked “NSN5855-01-506-5750 U.S. PROPERTY”. The scope is marked “LEUPOLD MARK 4 3.5-10”. The barrel is marked “NM.308”.     

Barrel Length: 22”, 25” with the classic flash hider. This is a National Match marked barrel.  

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Trijicon tritium night sight blade set between protective wings mounted to the flash hider. The rear sight is a fully adjustable aperture sight set between protective wings with a national match eye hooded aperture. Mounted to the side of the receiver and stripper clip guide dove tail is a Leupold Mark 4 3.5-10 scope with side parallax adjustment, 1 MOA elevation and 1/2 MOA windage, Heavy post mil-dot reticle, and flip up scope caps. The sight picture is clear, the light transmission is good, the turrets adjust with positive clicks, Overall the scope is in Very Good to Excellent condition.     

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock set on this rifle is an Archangel Precision Stock, with built in QD sling cups, forend picatinny rail for bi-pods, grips etc…, it has a Gooseneck style pistol grip with palm swells and palm shelf, and adjustable cheek riser, adjustable length of pull and rubber buttpad. The LOP is adjustable from 13.5” to 15”. The stock shows some minor scattered lines and marks consistent with minor use/handling wear. There are no notable marks, the adjustment dials function correctly, the rubber butt pad is pliable. Overall the stock is in Very Good to Very Good+ condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. The feed ramps show minor copper fouling and the muzzle device shows some minor carbon fouling. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.5/10. 

Overall Condition: The rifle retains 99% of its metal finish. The friction surfaces of the bolt and receiver show some very minor rub wear. The rest of the rifle shows minor handling wear with no notable marks. The markings are clear and the screw heads are sharp. The trigger has a very clean break and a short re-set. Overall this rifle is in Very Good to Very Good+ condition.     

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
