Markings: The frame and slide are fully covered in intricate paisley and floral filigree-style engraving. The standard Colt model and serial markings are present beneath the engraving, with “COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL” and “COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.” faintly visible within the pattern work. The serial number “GV059006” is marked on the right side of the frame above the trigger guard. Even the magazine body is engraved in matching motif.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are finely checkered walnut panels with an oil finish and high-polished gold-toned Colt medallions. There are no chips, cracks, or handling wear. The grips rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains virtually all of its custom finish. The engraved scrollwork and gold-accented details show no signs of wear, and the polish throughout is mirror-bright. The checkering on the front strap, mainspring housing, and grips is sharp. Even the magazine baseplate and body are engraved and match the overall aesthetic. The screw heads are sharp, and all engravings and markings are beautifully executed. Overall, this pistol rates in Excellent to Like New condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is crisp, the manual thumb and grip safeties engage properly, and the slide-to-frame fit is tight. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
