Our Assessment: This is an early commercial DWM Luger P08 chambered in .30 Luger, more formally known as 7.65mm Parabellum. It features the highly desirable “American Eagle” crest stamped over the chamber, a design produced specifically for export to the United States during the early 1900s. These pistols were manufactured between 1900 and 1908 for the U.S. market and helped introduce the innovative Luger toggle-lock action to American shooters.

Collectors greatly value these early DWM Lugers for their historical significance and distinctive markings. The American Eagle crest stands out as a rare and patriotic variation, and this example retains strong original blue and straw finishes with all visible serialized parts matching—including the grips. The bore is in excellent condition, adding to its desirability.
