The bottom of the receiver is marked “VEPR 7.62x54R” over “RUSSIA” over “TGI KNOX TN”. The right side of the receiver is marked “MADE IN RUSSIA VAPR cal. 7.62x54R”. The right side of the magazine is marked “BEnpd”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post between protective ears. The rear sight is an adjustable tangent leaf U-notch sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a thumbhole-style wood configuration featuring stippling on the pistol grip and forearm, providing excellent handling characteristics. The wood retains an attractive grain pattern and shows minimal handling marks. The buttstock has a rubber buttplate, and there is a green canvas sling attached. The overall condition of the stock is Excellent, showing only faint indications of handling and storage.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore but there is some light fouling present. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains approximately 98% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish exhibits only very minor handling marks, primarily around high edges, the charging handle and magazine insertion areas. There are faint scuffs and minimal operational wear consistent with gentle use. The markings are sharp and clearly defined. The screw heads and pins are sharp and unmarred. Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
