Our Assessment: Greifelt & Co. was a respected German gunmaker based in Suhl, known for their craftsmanship in sporting arms, particularly in the early to mid-20th century. This Diana model represents the elegant precision of German single-shot hunting rifles and was likely tailored for use in European roe deer and small game hunting, with its chambering in the now-obscure but once-popular 5.6x52R (.22 Savage High-Power).

The case coloring, and fine checkering all highlight the attention to detail typical of pre-war German sporting arms. It is a refined and lightweight rifle, ideal for hunters or collectors who appreciate European gunmaking.

This would be an outstanding piece for the sporting rifle collector or for someone who hunts with classically styled rifles. Its C&R status adds additional appeal for regulated collectors. Please see our high quality photos and good luck on your bid! -M.C.
