Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY INC., ILION, NY 25-06 REM.” followed by inspection marks. The left side of the receiver is marked “REMINGTON MODEL 700” and “B63042280”. The right side of the barrel is marked with “REP” in an oval and additional date codes. The Bushnell scope is marked “Bushnell 4-12×40”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed to a serrated ramp that is screwed to the barrel. The rear sight has been removed and the mounting holes are plugged. The top of the receiver is mounted with a Bushnell 4-12×40 scope. The scope has a duplex reticle with clear glass and is in Very Good condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is checkered walnut with a capped semi-pistol grip, raised comb, and a cheek piece. The forend is capped, and there are sling swivel studs mounted with a leather sling attached. The stock has some light handling marks but no major cracks or chips. The checkering is well-defined. The buttplate is checkered black plastic. The LOP measures 13 1/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore but there is stubborn fouling throughout. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 92% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows mild operational wear and a few scattered handling marks. There is minor thinning at the muzzle and on some edges of the receiver. The screw heads are sharp and serviceable. The pins are clean. The markings are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good to Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
