Markings: The bottom side of the receiver has the serial number “00008YW73U” and says “Cal. 45 Colt” just above it. The top back of the receiver says “Winchester Model 1873” and forward towards the barrel there is a Winchester stamp. On the left side of the barrel it reads “Winchester Model 1873 – – Caliber 45 COLT ONLY” and there is another Winchester stamp on that side of the barrel next to the receiver. On the right side of the barrel it reads “Made by Marinku – Japan – – Imported by BACO, Inc. – Morgan, Utah” below that it reads “Winchester is a registered trademark of Olin Corporation”.

Sights / Optics: Semi-Buckhorn rear sight with gold bead front sight
Stock Configuration & Condition: Grade II/III Walnut curved grip stock with a satin oil finish. The length of pull is 13 inches. All of the furniture is in Like-New condition with minimal imperfections.
Type of Finish: Color case hardening on the steel receiver, lever, crescent buttplate, and forearm cap. The barrel and feeding tube are blued.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its finish. There are minimal imperfections throughout the rifle. This writer would give the overall condition of this rifle as Like-New.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
