Our Assessment: Great Western Arms Company was established in the early 1950s with the sole intention of producing faithful reproductions of the Colt Single Action Army. These were the first American-made single-action revolvers manufactured after WWII, preceding the reintroduction of the Colt SAA and offering an affordable alternative with solid construction.
This example in .45 Colt with a 5.5” barrel is a classic configuration favored for balance and handling. The faux stag grips and blued finish give it strong Old West appeal.
Whether you’re a collector of mid-century Americana, a cowboy action shooter, or a Western movie buff, this revolver offers both function and form. It’s C&R eligible and embodies a unique chapter in American firearms history. Please see our high quality photos and good luck on your bid! -M.C.
