Also included is a keyring with a miniature of the blue and gold medallion and a serial-matched Colt Double Diamond belt buckle.
Our Assessment: This is a very rare and collectible set of Colts. Only 1000 of these sets were manufactured in 1986, this is set number 588. The set was made for Colts 150th anniversary and is comprised of a 6″ Python and an Officers ACP compact 1911. The handguns both have a bright polished stainless finish, special double diamond markings, and smooth rosewood grips. These handguns both look to have seen little use and look great, especially when in their display case. In addition to the case, a medallion, medallion keyring, and serial-matched belt buckle round out the display accessories. They represent great value, and their stainless steel finish will probably still be looking bright and shiny decades from now. This is a can’t miss opportunity for the dedicated Colt collectors.
