Our Assessment: This is a Pedersoli manufactured replica of a Springfield “Trapdoor” carbine. The gun is beautifully crafted, it is truly a worthy tribute to the legendary Allin breech-loading system that was invented by Springfield Armory’s Master Armorer Erskine S. Allin. This specimen is well preserved with only very light storage and handling wear. Additionally, the carbine is beautifully finished and remains mechanically sound. This gun can be used for historical reenactment, target shooting or even hunting. This is one beautiful firearm that you will not want to miss out on!
