Our Assessment: The Colt Single Action Army revolver is one of the most iconic firearms ever produced, with a history stretching back to the days of the Old West. This example is a 2nd Generation model, produced in 1970 and chambered in .357 Magnum. These revolvers maintain the classic look and feel of the original Peacemaker while offering the power and versatility of a modern magnum cartridge.
The .357 Magnum chambering makes this an excellent revolver for both collectors and shooters. It can handle full-power loads for defense or hunting, while also accepting .38 Special for more affordable and lower-recoil shooting. The 5.5-inch barrel provides a great balance of accuracy and handling, making this a versatile and desirable configuration.
This revolver is in Excellent condition, showing minimal signs of use and retaining nearly all of its original finish. With its classic styling, historical significance, and practical chambering, this Colt Single Action Army will be a treasured addition to any collection.
