Our Assessment: This M1 Carbine was made by the Underwood Typewriter Company back in 1943. It has since been rebuilt using mostly USGI parts. The barrel has also been replaced. The rifle has been refinished so it looks good for its age. Luckily the new barrel is strong & bright so this M1 Carbine will be fun out at the range for a long time to come.
