Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “WINCHESTER MODEL 94AE XTR CAL. 30-30 WIN. / –MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL–”. The top rear of the barrel is marked with a circled “WP” proof. The front underside of the receiver is marked with the serial number.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded beaded blade dovetailed to a serrated ramped base, fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a u-notch elevator sight dovetailed to the barrel. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped, and filled.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with banded forend, straight grip, straight comb, and an black plastic Winchester buttplate. On the right side of the buttstock, there is a Chevrolet Medallion inlaid into it. The medallion has the Chevy Emblem in the middle, and is marked “1985 CHEVY OUTDOORSMAN, WINCHESTER”. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. There are no notable signs of wear or use on the stocks. Overall, the stocks are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the barrel. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The screw heads are sharp, and the pins are unmarred. There is light intermittent oxidation and rust freckling. The markings are clear and legible. Overall, this rifle is in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The hammer has a half cock safety position and there is a functioning lever safety present. The trigger pull is crisp. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
