Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “WINCHESTER MODEL 9422M XTR .22 WIN. MAGNUM / MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. — WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”. The top of the barrel is marked with the “WP” proof. The bottom of the frame and lever assembly are marked “F416450”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed to a serrated ramped base, fixed to the barrel and slotted for a hood (none present). The rear sight is a “U” notch leaf and elevator style sight, the elevator is present. The top of the receiver is grooved to accept claw-style mounts (none included). The top of the receiver is scope grooved.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece high gloss checkered walnut with a straight grip, straight comb, checkered black plastic Winchester buttplate, and barrel band on the forend. There are light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 ¾” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The buttplate shows some light marks on the heel and tow with strong checkering. The stocks rate in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. There is faint thinning on the leading edges and a few minor handling marks. The sides of the barrel band have some finish loss. The markings are clear. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The magazine tube The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
