Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “WINCHESTER ® MODEL 94 AE XTR CAL. .375 WIN. / –MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL–”. The top rear of the barrel at the rear is marked with a circled “WP” proof. The underside of the receiver is marked with the serial number.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded blade dovetailed to a serrated ramped base fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a folding u-notch sight with white triangle aim reference, dovetailed to the barrel. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped, and filled for scope options (none present).
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with banded forend, straight grip, monte-carlo comb and an orange Winchester buttpad. There are two sling rings front and rear. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. There are a few minor compressions and scratches. The LOP measures 13 ¾” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. Overall, the stocks are in about Excellent condition. There is a leather buttstock cover with 8-round side saddle.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are a few minor scratches on the receiver and barrel. The action shows light operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. Rebounding hammer. The trigger pull is crisp. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its leather sling and buttstock cover both in Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: The Winchester Model 94 AE XTR in .375 Winchester represents one of the more interesting chapters in the Model 94’s long history. Introduced in the late 1970s, the .375 Winchester was designed as a modernized, high-pressure evolution of the old .38-55, intended to bring new life to the classic lever-action rifle platform. Chambered in this powerful cartridge, the 94 AE XTR offered hunters a hard-hitting rifle capable of taking larger game while still retaining the fast handling and portability that made the Model 94 famous. The Angle Eject (AE) design allowed for top-mounted optics, a feature long requested by hunters, further modernizing the platform.
This rifle, built in the 1980s, remains in excellent condition with nearly all of its original blue finish, sharp checkering, and a bright, crisp bore. The walnut Monte Carlo stock with checkering provides a comfortable cheek weld for scoped shooting, while the factory orange Winchester recoil pad and included buttstock leather cover with cartridge loops add both function and style. For collectors, it represents a relatively scarce chambering in the Model 94 line and a milestone in Winchester’s efforts to adapt the design to modern hunting demands. For hunters, it remains a capable and practical rifle for medium to large game, combining the heritage of the Model 94 with the punch of the .375 Winchester cartridge.
